Rhythm Dhol Bass – RDB

The Ral brothers - Kuly, Manj and Surj - are all born in the UK. At an early age they started playing Indian instruments and singing along with their father. Drawing on their Sikh heritage and fusing it with different street genres of music, they constructed the unique "RDB sound".

Pioneers in their field as producers, musicians and singers, these siblings are truly amazing live entertainers. They have performed with some of the leading names in Bollywood – Akshay Kumar, Amitabh & Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai to the biggest names associated with music in the West – Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Kanye and Public Enemy.

Sellout concerts around the world and globally televised shows with multi-million viewers, the RDB sound has struck a strong chord with the masses of music lovers from East to West.

These British Sikhs have radically pioneered the style of Bhangra by remolding it into a raw urban sound which makes their work stand out from the crowd. Street-style crisp original production, deep and meaningful lyrical content, and innate skill to create hook lines and anthems in all genres have earned them an international fan-base of millions from all ages and backgrounds.

With over a decade of hits under their belt, unofficial music sales in the millions, and tours across the world – UK, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Canada, USA, South America, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai, India, Pakistan and Kenya, RDB are growing from strength to strength as they become the first artists in the history of music to combine mainstream Bollywood and the US hip-hop markets together.

Some of RDB’s latest blockbusters include title numbers for Bollywood hits – Singh is Kinng, Kambakkht Ishq and Aloo Chaat (with Nindy Kaur).

Nindy Kaur

Nindy Kaur, wife of acclaimed singer and producer Manj of RDB began singing at the age of 10. Raised in the UK and surrounded by the beats and rhythms of Birmingham’s Bhangra bands, she grew up as a child who would save her lunch money to buy every single Bhangra album upon release.

Nindy has self-taught herself the art of singing and has spent years developing her vocal skills in both Punjabi and Hindi. Her main goal as an artist is to never forget where she has come from and be true to her culture and reflect that in her music.

In 2004 Nindy Kaur made her stage debut as she toured the United States with Shezad Roy and Sukhbir. After that, there was no stopping this singer; she became a household name to music enthusiasts across the UK. Her presence in the music world became more vivid as her relationship with RDB grew.

Nindy’s debut release was “Aja Sajana” which was featured on the album “Danger 3” by Untouchables Records. She followed that hit with “Gur Nalo Ishq” and “Gidha Pao,” which were both featured on DJH's debut album. In 2008, Nindy and RDB recorded and performed in the music video for Aftab Shivadasani's film “Aloo Chaat”. She is also featured in Akshay Kumar’s film “Kambaqt Ishq” which released in mid 2009.

Her entrancing vocals can also be heard on RDB’s latest album releasing in 2009. Finally, Nindy’s solo album is also set to release in 2009 with a heart pounding tour – RDB feat. Nindy Kaur!
