ANNUAL SIKH FILM FESTIVAL 2006:
SAKA SIRHIND

Saka Sirhind is about 50-minute long animation movie based on the unparalleled sacrifice of two younger sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh. This is the saga of nine and seven-year old sons of Guru sahib, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, who stood against the tyranny and injustice of the Mughal Empire.

The sahibzadas remained steadfast and firm in their faith even when they were being bricked alive. The brave Sahibzadas followed the path of their forefathers, Guru Arjan Dev ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur ji by giving their lives for righteousness instead of kneeling down to the cruel Mughal regime. Their exemplary courage has been model to the generations thereafter. Ours is an attempt to re-establish the Sahibzadas as role models for the Sikh children and youth so that the forthcoming generations are full of valor and zest and well-determined on the path of Sikhi.
